About this converter
Skyjo uses a 150 card deck from Magilano with values from minus 2 to 12. The distribution is fixed in the rulebook and it shapes every round. Minus 2 appears 5 times. Minus 1 appears 10 times. Zero appears 15 times. Each value from 1 to 12 appears 10 times. That gives 5 plus 10 plus 15 plus 120, which totals 150. Players are dealt 12 cards in a 3 by 4 grid and try to end with the lowest sum. Low and negative cards are kept through the round. High cards are swapped out when the stock or discard pile offers a lower one.
How to use it
Pick two cards and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 Skyjo 12 against Skyjo -2 to see how many rare minus cards one high card stack equals. The unit box keeps the result in cards.
Counts here follow the Magilano Skyjo manual for 2 to 8 players, ages 8 and up, with the game ending when a player reaches 100 points. The 12 dealt cards per player and the 3 by 4 layout are also from the manual. Some licensed reprints keep the same 150 card split. No official variant changes these counts, so no variant rows are listed. If a reprint ever changes the mix, the row will pin the manual figure and note the new one.
