About these numbers: Ratings are untempered base for full matched suits without shields, from UESP game data. Tempering, enchantments, perks and shields raise displayed rating in play and stay out of rows. Each point cuts physical damage by 0.12 percent toward the 80 percent cap.

About this converter

Skyrim rates full matched suits from 40 to 108 base. Hide opens at 40, Leather at 52, Elven at 58, Iron at 60, Banded Iron at 63, Scaled at 64, Steel at 72, Glass at 76, Dwarven at 78, Stalhrim Light at 78.5, Dragonscale at 82, Steel Plate at 87, Orcish at 90, Nordic Carved at 93, Ebony at 96, Stalhrim Heavy and Dragonplate tied at 102, and Daedric at 108. That makes one Daedric suit equal over two and a half Hide suits. Each point cuts physical damage by 0.12 percent, and worn pieces add a hidden 25 each toward the 567 displayed cap. Every value here is the untempered matched suit without shield, with ties noted where they land.

How to use it

Pick two sets and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first set, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds the total in defense. Try 1 Daedric against Hide sets.

Ties stay flagged: Ancient Nord ties Iron at 60, Chitin Heavy ties Steel Plate at 87, Falmer Heavy ties Ebony at 96, Stalhrim Heavy ties Dragonplate at 102. Shields add on top: Iron rises 60 to 80 with shield, Daedric 108 to 144. Tempering adds per piece, 20 for chest and 10 elsewhere at Legendary, so rows pin the untempered base only. Lower sets like Fur 46, Forsworn 52 and Studded 43 sit outside this cut and are noted as omitted for space. Creation Club suits stay out entirely. Daedric 108 against Hide 40 shows over two and a half to one.
