About Fiction Units

Fiction Units converts fictional measurements into numbers you can picture: fantasy currencies into dollars and euros, battle powers into head-to-head ratios, kaiju heights into meters and feet, character heights into centimeters and inches.

The project started from a simple frustration. Fans argue about whether Berries match yen, how tall Godzilla stands in each era, or what a Galleon buys, and answers stay scattered across wikis, databooks and interviews. Each converter on this site gathers one topic, lists every value with its source, and shows the working behind any estimate.

What you get on each page

  • An interactive converter that compares two entries side by side in real world units.
  • A visual chart plus a full table with context and sources for every row.
  • A short guide, FAQ answers grounded in the listed sources, and a full source list.

How numbers are checked

Canon sources rank first: manga chapters, official guidebooks, studio stats and author interviews. Where the author never set a rate, the page uses the widest verifiable consensus, shows the math, and labels the result as an estimate. If no official figure exists, the entry is left out and the page says why. Read the full methodology.
