About this converter

Ticket to Ride USA runs on fixed component counts. Train cards total 110: 12 each across 8 colors for 96 plus 14 locomotives. Destination tickets add 30 more cards for 140 in the box. Each player holds 45 plastic trains, so a five player game fields 225. One color block of 12 matches almost one locomotive stack of 14. Locomotives play as any color, which is why they ride separately. Every figure here is the Days of Wonder rulebook count.

How to use it

Pick two components and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 full train card deck against destination tickets to see the 110 versus 30 gap. All rows are Days of Wonder base game counts.

Counts pin the USA 1910 base box with expansion splits noted where they move. Europe adds stations and ferries and stays out. Locomotives count as train cards in the 110 total and stay shown both ways. Two and three player games use the same box with fewer trains on the board. Spare tickets and unclaimed trains score nothing at game end, which the FAQ covers.
