About these numbers: Sun costs are fixed PopCap seed packet numbers with no real money rate, so rows pin sun only and never convert. Recharge timers and seed slot limits gate planting in play and stay out of math. Sequel rosters reprice and are noted per row.

About this converter

The original 2009 seed packets print fixed sun costs from 0 to 200. Puff-shroom opens free at 0, Potato Mine and Sun-shroom tied at 25, Sunflower, Wall-nut, Squash and Garlic tied at 50, Grave Buster and Fume-shroom tied at 75, Peashooter and Spikeweed tied at 100, Jalapeno, Tall-nut, Starfruit and Pumpkin tied at 125, Cherry Bomb and Chomper tied at 150, Snow Pea and Torchwood tied at 175, and Repeater at 200. That makes one Repeater equal four Sunflowers or eight Potato Mines. Sunflowers pay for themselves by producing 25 sun at a time. Every value here is the original game packet cost with sequel differences noted where they move.

How to use it

Pick two plants and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first plant, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds the total in sun. Try 1 Repeater against Sunflowers.

Sequels reprice: Cherry Bomb and Repeater hold at 150 and 200 in PvZ2, but most rosters shift, so rows pin the 2009 packets. A fan remake lists Snow Pea at 150 against the original 175, and the entry note flags it. Puff-shroom costs nothing but vanishes after a short time, which is why it anchors the table. Marigold at 50, Coffee Bean and Tall-nut variants sit outside this cut and are noted as omitted for space. Repeater 200 against Sunflower 50 shows four to one. Cherry Bomb 150 equals six Potato Mines.

FAQ

How much is a Sunflower?

50 sun, producing 25 per drop. Four plant one Repeater.

How much is a Repeater?

200 sun. It fires two peas at a time and holds 200 in PvZ2 as well.

How much is a Snow Pea?

175 sun in the original. A fan remake lists 150, flagged in the entry note.

Do PvZ2 costs match?

No. Rows pin the 2009 packets. PvZ2 keeps Cherry Bomb and Repeater but reprices most of the roster.
