About this converter

Generation I prints fixed base power on its moves, so starters and legends share one table. Tackle, Quick Attack, Ember, Water Gun and Thunder Shock all sit at 40, with Vine Whip one step up at 45. Psychic at 90 and Earthquake at 100 set the mid tier that clears most fights. Blizzard, Thunder, Fire Blast and Hydro Pump tie at 110 with Solar Beam at 120 behind them, while Hyper Beam at 150 leads the standard list. Self-Destruct at 200 and Explosion at 250 top every row here. Every figure here is the Red and Blue game data via Bulbapedia.

How to use it

Pick two moves and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 Explosion against Tackles. The unit box totals the value in power or thousands of power.

One hit knockout moves like Guillotine carry no power number and stay out. Fixed damage moves like Dragon Rage at 40 and Seismic Toss by level stay out of power rows for the same reason. Later generations retuned some numbers, so this table rows Generation I base power with changes noted.
