About this converter
Love Letter ranks eight cards by value from 1 to 8. Guard plays at 1, Priest 2, Baron 3, Handmaid 4, Prince 5, King 6, Countess 7 and Princess 8. Higher cards win ties at round end, but holding the Princess when caught loses the round outright. That makes one Princess equal eight Guards. Only eight ranks exist, so this table is complete at eight rows. Every value here is the AEG card rank.
How to use it
Pick two cards and the unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds the total in points. Try 1 Princess against Guards to see the 8 to 1 gap.
Eight rows cover the whole deck by design, so the omission of extra rows is deliberate. Premium editions add cards like the Chancellor at 6, noted but not rowed to keep base values comparable. Round winner holds the highest surviving card. The Guard guesses any rank but never Guard itself, which shapes bluffing. Counting played Princes and Kings guides end game calls.
