About this converter

Dead by Daylight chests give a random item per search, with fixed base odds per rarity and per item type. Behaviour Interactive values are shown on the Official DBD Wiki Chests page from in game testing. Rarity odds at default run 43 down to 2: Common at 43, Uncommon at 33, Rare at 16, Very Rare at 5, Ultra Rare at 2. Item odds at default run 37 down to 2: Med-Kit at 37, Toolbox at 37, Flashlight at 16, Key at 7, Map at 2. That makes a Common find over twenty times more likely than an Ultra Rare. A Med-Kit is over eighteen times more likely than a Map. All rows pin default odds with no perk in play.

How to use it

Pick two loot odds and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first loot type, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds total percent. Try Common item chance against Ultra Rare item chance. Click a table row to load that loot type as the first entry with amount 1.

Perk shifted odds sit outside the base rows. Plunderer Instinct moves Common to 14 and Ultra Rare to 15, with full shifted tables on the Chests page. Those shifted figures are noted per row but are not used as base values. Event Rarity has no fixed number from a non event test period and is left out. Add on slots, Winter Chests, Basement chest spots, and Rummage perks change results and stay out of rows. Rarity totals sum to 99 by rounding in the source table. Item totals sum to 99 for the same reason.
