About these numbers: Prices are fixed Classic Era game data. Blizzard never set a gold to dollar rate, so this page compares gold costs against each other and offers no USD conversion rather than inventing one.

About this converter

World of Warcraft Classic Era runs on fixed gold prices, which makes every cost easy to compare. Learning to ride costs 20 gold at the trainer, a level 40 racial mount costs 80 gold, and the level 60 epic mount costs 1,000 gold. That means one epic mount equals 10 level 40 mount setups or 50 riding lessons. Every figure on this page is the Classic Era base price before reputation and PvP rank discounts: mounts, respecs, bank slots and vendor bags. Discounts can cut mount prices by up to 20 percent, and the table notes both prices. Gold has no official dollar rate, so this page compares gold costs to each other instead of guessing at real money values.

How to use it

Pick two costs and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked: one holds a count of the first cost, one the matching count of the second, one the total in gold. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 epic mount against riding lessons, or a full bank slot bundle against respecs.

Bank slots rise fast: the first costs 10 silver, the second 1 gold, the third 10 gold, and the last four 25 gold each, for 111.1 gold in total. Respecs start at 1 gold and climb 5 gold per use to a 50 gold cap. Vendor bags give fixed storage prices, from 2 gold for a 10 slot Heavy Brown Bag to 10 gold for a 12 slot Huge Brown Sack.
