About these numbers: Ship lengths are current Disney canon figures from the StarWars.com Databank and the Incredible Cross-Sections books. Older Legends guides list different numbers for some ships (the X-wing was 12.5 m), and the page notes those cases. Stations are diameters, ships are lengths.

About this converter

Star Wars never puts a ruler on screen, so ships feel whatever size the shot needs. The official numbers tell a stricter story. A Super Star Destroyer is 19,000 meters, almost 12 Imperial Star Destroyers long. The Millennium Falcon is 34.75 meters, shorter than an Olympic swimming pool. A TIE fighter is under 9 meters, closer to a city bus than a jetliner. Every figure on this page comes from the current canon Databank or the film cross-section books, with older Legends values noted where they differ. Battle stations are listed by diameter and labeled as such, since comparing a diameter to a length without saying so would mislead.

How to use it

Pick two ships and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked: one holds a count of the first ship, one the matching count of the second, one the length in the chosen unit. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 Executor against Star Destroyers, or 1 Falcon against X-wings.

Film models cheat scale for composition, so treat frames as drama and these numbers as reference. Imperial measurements round to whole meters in most guides, which is why the TIE fighter reads 8.99 instead of a clean 9.
