About this converter

Rocket heights run from war relic to Moon ship to test giant. V-2 opens at 14 m, Electron at 18, Soyuz-2 at 46.3, Ariane 5 ECA at 53, Atlas V max at 62.5, Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy tied at 70, Delta IV Heavy at 72, SLS Block 1 and New Glenn tied at 98, Saturn V at 110.6 and Starship at 121. That makes Starship about eight and a half V-2s tall. Every figure is the official stacked height with payload fairing where flown, and config variants sit in the notes.

How to use it

Pick two entries and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds the height in the chosen unit. Try 1 Saturn V against Falcon 9s.

Heights shift with fairings, so rows pin the standard stacked figure. Atlas V spans about 58.3 to 62.5 by fairing; the row uses the 62.5 max. Soyuz runs 46.2 to 46.3 across manuals; the row uses 46.3. Saturn V prints 110.6 with 111 as the rounded form. Starship rows 121 for the flown Block 1 stack; SpaceX lists taller figures for later blocks. Falcon 9 and Heavy share 70 m because Heavy reuses Falcon cores. SLS rows Block 1 crew at 98 with Orion.
