About this converter

Celadon prizes run from 120 to 9999 coins, and the service counter sells 50 coins for 1000 yen with no bulk discount. Abra opens at 180 in Red and 120 in Blue, Clefairy at 500 and 750, Nidorina and Nidorino at 1200. Pinsir at 2500 is Blue only while Scyther at 5500 is Red only. Dratini costs 2800 in Red and 4600 in Blue. The TMs sit at 3300, 5500 and 7700. Porygon closes at 6500 in Blue and 9999 in Red, the only Gen I source for the species. At cash rates the Red Porygon costs 199980 yen of tokens.

How to use it

Pick two prizes and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 Red Porygon against Abras to see the fifty five to one grind.

Yellow prices differ, for example Vulpix at 1000 and Wigglytuff at 2680, and stay out to keep Red and Blue clean. FireRed and LeafGreen reuse the same coin figures and are noted, not rowed. Slot payouts cap near 300 coins per spin, which is why the Porygon grind is famous. Porygon has no wild location in Gen I, so the counter is the only source.
