About this converter
Gen I level evolutions run 7 to 55, and bugs open the ladder. Caterpie and Weedle evolve at 7, Metapod and Kakuna at 10, Charmander and Abra at 16, Pidgey at 18, Spearow, Rattata and Magikarp at 20, Oddish at 21, Machop at 28, Dratini at 30, Rhyhorn at 42 and Dragonair at 55. That makes Dragonite forty eight levels past the bugs. Starters share 16 while dragons wait longest. Stone and trade lines evolve outside levels and stay in notes. Every figure here is the in-game evolution level from the Pokedex data.
How to use it
Pick two evolutions and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 Dragonite line against Caterpie lines to feel the late dragon wait.
Stone evolutions carry no level, so Pikachu, Eevee, Clefairy and the Nidoran finals stay out. Trade evolutions start from a level, Kadabra, Machoke, Graveler and Haunter, with the level rowed and the trade noted. Second stages like Charmeleon at 36 and Wartortle at 36 sit above this first-evolution table and stay noted.

Why no Pikachu?
