About these numbers: Scores are the fixed 1980 arcade values from the Namco manual. Later ports and level 256 kill screen quirks change nothing about these base numbers.

About this converter

Pac-Man prices everything in dots and ghosts. A dot pays 10 points, a power pellet 50, a cherry 100, a strawberry 300, an orange 500, an apple 700, a melon 1,000, a galboss 2,000, a bell 3,000 and a key 5,000. The cherry opens the fruit ladder that ends at the key twelve levels later. Ghosts double per combo at 200, 400, 800 and 1,600 for a 3,000 full house, exactly one bell. The extra life lands at 10,000 points, one thousand dots of play. That means one key equals five hundred dots or about three full ghost combos. Every value here is the fixed arcade manual number. Fruit tiers climb by level while ghost values never move.

How to use it

Pick two scores and the unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked: one holds a count of the first, one the matching count of the second, one the total in points. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 extra life against dots.

The kill screen at level 256 ends runs but never changes scoring. Ms. Pac-Man pays different fruit values and stays out of this Pac-Man table.
