About this converter

Final Fantasy VII Gil rewards grow from early Midgar fights to late game bosses. Early enemies give 5 to 60 Gil per kill. Mid game bosses give 100 to 500 Gil. Late machines and elite troops give thousands. This page ranks 15 enemies in Gil. Values come from original 1997 game data as shown in monster databases. The list runs from Sector 1 to the Underwater Reactor.

How to use it

Pick two entries and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Use it to compare Guard Scorpion with Air Buster. Try Midgar Zolom against Carry Armor. Test Sweeper against Smogger for early machines.

Guard Hound is 12 Gil and Sweeper is 30 Gil in data mined tables. An older guide lists Sweeper as 40 Gil and Smogger as 32 Gil. Current tables list Smogger as 60 Gil. This page uses 30 and 60 and notes the older figures. Guard Scorpion is 100 Gil and Air Buster is 150 Gil. Midgar Zolom is 400 Gil. Carry Armor is 4000 Gil. The rumored 10000 Gil for Carry Armor has no source and is left out. Steals, drops and morphs do not change Gil.
