About these numbers: XP values are NES original per encounter split among survivors. Pixel Remaster keeps the same bases with a 0.5x to 4x toggle, so rows pin NES. Chaos pays 0 by design and stays out of math.

About this converter

FF1 pays fixed XP per encounter from 6 to 32000. Coneria opens with imp 6, grimp 18, wolf 24 and sahag 30. The middle climbs through grwolf 93, ogre 195, mummy 300, winter wolf 402, ogre mage 723, sphinx 1160, vampire 1200, chimera 2064, eye 3225, worm 4344 and jimera 4584. Rare hunts finish with irongol 6717, t rex 7200 and warmech 32000. That makes one warmech equal over five thousand imps. Every value here is the NES encounter EXP with gil noted where it differs.

How to use it

Pick two monsters and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds the total in XP. Try 1 WarMECH against Imps.

Pixel Remaster adds 0.5x, 1x, 2x and 4x toggles on the same bases, so 0.5x matches NES pace. Chaos the final boss pays 0 EXP and 0 gil by design and stays out since a zero row breaks ratios. Sahag 30, ogre 195 and mummy 300 correct popular wrong lists claiming 90, 400 and 1500.
