About these numbers: Speeds are stock machine maximums from the Nintendo SNES manual and F-Zero X and GX game data. Boosts and upgrades change race speeds and sit in notes.

About this converter

The F-Zero manual prints top speed for its four original machines, and the sequels extend the ladder. Wild Goose opens at 380 kilometers per hour, Golden Fox at 400, Blue Falcon at 420 and Fire Stingray at 450. F-Zero X adds White Land, Red Gazelle and Iron Tiger with Black Bull and the fan favorite Blood Hawk behind them, while GX pushes the ceiling with the Phantom Road fleet past 700. Every figure here is the Nintendo manual and game data top speed.

How to use it

Pick two machines and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 Fire Stingray against Wild Geese. The unit box converts the speed to kilometers per hour or miles per hour.

Boost pads and top speed upgrades change race speeds, so rows use stock machine maximums. Miles per hour convert at 0.621371 in the unit box. F-Zero X and GX machine stats use the same Nintendo sources with the game labeled per row. F-Zero AX arcade machines share GX data and get no separate rows. Pilot weights never got official numbers and stay out.
