About this converter
EVE Online measures every hold in cubic meters, and the gap between hulls is enormous. A shuttle carries 10 m3 while the Charon freighter holds 465,000 m3 at base, which means one freighter replaces 46,500 shuttle trips. This table ranks 14 CCP ship capacities on one scale, from rookie frigates through the four Tech 1 bulk haulers to the Orca and the four empire freighters. All values are unfitted base stats with no skills, since the 5 percent per level hauler and freighter bonuses apply on top.
How to use it
Pick two ships and a unit in the top row, for example the Charon and the Tayra with cubic meters. The three boxes below stay linked, so editing any number updates the other two. One box holds loads of the first ship, one holds loads of the second, one holds the total volume in the chosen unit. Try 1 Charon against Tayras to see how many hauler trips one freighter replaces.
Base stats hide the fitting game. Expanders and rigs push the Bestower near 39,202 m3 and the Nereus past 11,372, while freighter low slots trade tank for space past one million. Specialized holds sit outside the cargo column: the Venture adds a 5,000 m3 mining hold, the Orca adds 150,000 m3 of mining hold plus fleet and maintenance bays, and mineral, gas and ammo specialists like the Kryos, Hoarder and Miasmos are left out. Deep space transport fleet hangars of 50,000 to 62,500 m3 are noted here rather than ranked.
