About these numbers: Weights are the official Technical Readout tonnages in metric tons. Custom refits keep the same chassis tonnage, so rows pin the stock figure. Kilograms convert at 1000 per ton in the unit box.

About this converter

BattleTech prints every Mech with a fixed tonnage from 20 to 100. Locust opens at 20, Spider at 30, Jenner at 35, Cicada at 40, Blackjack and Phoenix Hawk tied at 45, Centurion and Hunchback tied at 50, Stormcrow and Griffin tied at 55, Rifleman and Dragon tied at 60, Catapult at 65, Warhammer at 70, Timber Wolf at 75, Awesome at 80, Warhawk at 85 and Atlas at 100. That makes one Atlas equal five Locusts of tonnage. Every value here is the stock Technical Readout figure with refits left out.

How to use it

Pick two Mechs and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds the weight in tons or kilograms. Try 1 Atlas against Locusts.

Clan OmniMechs list one base tonnage with swappable pods, so Timber Wolf always rows 75 whatever the loadout. Weight classes run light to 35, medium 40 to 55, heavy 60 to 75 and assault 80 to 100 on this ladder. Ultra-light protomechs and superheavy tripods sit outside the classic scale and stay out.
