About this converter
BG3 armor class follows 5th edition armor rows. Unarmored starts at 10 plus full Dexterity. Light armor adds full Dex on top of 11 Padded, 11 Leather and 12 Studded. Medium armor caps Dex at plus 2 on 12 Hide, 13 Chain Shirt, 14 Scale Mail, 14 Breastplate and 15 Half Plate. Heavy armor adds no Dex on 14 Ring Mail, 16 Chain Mail, 17 Splint and 18 Plate. Stealth disadvantage rides on Scale, Half Plate and all heavy except Breastplate. Shields add plus 2 in the off hand with proficiency. Plus 1 and plus 2 magic variants exist but base rows sort here.
How to use it
Pick two entries and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try Plate Armour against No Armor to see the 18 to 10 base gap before Dex. The result line prints the equality plus the per unit ratio. Click a table row to load that entry as Entry A with amount 1.
Dex math is noted per row but base values sort, since Dex varies per character. Monster armor class lives on a separate monsters page and is not mixed with wearable rows. Magical plus variants are left out as non base. Omitted: mage armor and barkskin spell AC, which use spell tables, not armour rows.
