About this converter

Azul scores tile by tile with fixed rates. An isolated wall tile scores 1. A tile joining one horizontal neighbor scores 2, a row of three scores 3 and a row of five scores 5. Cross placements add both lines: 2 plus 2 scores 4, 3 plus 3 scores 6, and a 5 plus 5 tile scores 10. Floor penalties run minus 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3 for a full minus 14 across 7 spaces. End bonuses pay 2 per full row, 7 per full column and 10 per full color set. One color set matches one perfect cross tile.

How to use it

Pick two scorings and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 full floor line against a color set to see the minus 14 versus plus 10 swing.

Values are worked example totals at official rates. Floor positions are cumulative: 3 tiles cost minus 4, 5 tiles cost minus 8 and 7 tiles cost minus 14. Score never drops below zero no matter how full the floor runs. First player marker counts as a floor tile and stays noted. Rows, columns and color sets stack at game end.
