About this converter

Stardew base prices run 25 to 2000 gold, and foraged minerals anchor the bottom. Quartz at 25, Earth Crystal at 50, Frozen Tear at 75, Topaz at 80, Amethyst and Fire Quartz at 100, Aquamarine at 180, Jade at 200, Emerald and Ruby at 250, Diamond at 750 and Prismatic Shard at 2000. That makes one Shard eighty Quartz. Gems beat foraged minerals at every tier, which is why gem nodes matter past floor 40. Every figure here is the normal-quality base sell price from the official wiki.

How to use it

Pick two gems and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 Prismatic Shard against Quartz to see the eighty to one rainbow gap.

Quality, professions and Star Shards change payouts: Gemologist adds 30 percent, so Diamond rises to 975, and Star Shards read higher in the tables. Base rows assume normal quality with no profession. Desert Trader swaps Jade for staircases on Sundays, which beats selling them. Tigerseye at 275 and Opal at 150 sit between Jade and Diamond and stay noted.

FAQ

How much is a Diamond?

What is the cheapest gem?

Topaz at 80g. Quartz at 25g is a mineral, not a gem.
