About this converter

Canon reference books fix the crew complements of ten Star Wars ships. The Executor carries 280784 crew, the Imperial I Star Destroyer 37085, the Venator Star Destroyer 7400, the MC75 cruiser 3225, the Millennium Falcon 4, the Ghost 3, the Y wing 2, the X wing 1, the A wing 1 and the TIE fighter 1. The Executor at 280784 is about seven times the Imperial I. The Falcon at 4 needs a pilot, a copilot and two gunners. Single seat fighters at 1 close the table. X wing counts the pilot only, with its astromech droid alongside.

How to use it

Pick two ships and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try the Executor against the Falcon to feel the scale gap. Switch to thousands for capital ship reading.

Complements follow canon books including Ultimate Star Wars and Complete Vehicles, since Databank pages publish no crew field. The Death Star stays out because canon gives a 1.1 to 1.2 million range rather than one figure. The Lambda shuttle, Acclamator, CR90 and Nebulon B stay out because no single canon figure could be verified. Executor at 280784 excludes 38000 embarked troops. Ghost at 3 reflects pilot, copilot and gunner.
