About these numbers: Values are UESP base damage, before One Handed, Two Handed and Archery skills, perks and smithing. Play damage multiplies on top, so rows pin the base only.

About this converter

Skyrim lists base damage for every weapon before skill and perks scale it. Iron Dagger opens at 4, Long Bow at 6, Iron Sword at 7, Steel Sword at 8, Orcish Sword at 9, Dwarven Sword at 10, Elven Sword at 11, Glass Sword at 12, Ebony Sword at 13, Daedric Sword at 14, Dragonbone Sword and Iron Greatsword tied at 15, Steel Greatsword at 17, Daedric Bow at 19, Glass Greatsword at 21, Ebony Greatsword at 22, Daedric Greatsword at 24 and Dragonbone Greatsword at 25. That makes one Dragonbone Greatsword equal over six Iron Daggers of base damage. Every value here is the UESP base with skill, perks and smithing left out.

How to use it

Pick two weapons and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds the total in damage. Try 1 Dragonbone Greatsword against Iron Daggers.

Skill levels, armsman perks and tempering multiply these bases in play, so this table pins the base to keep rows comparable. Silver weapons add 20 against undead on top and stay out of base rows. Enchanted and unique variants carry their own numbers and stay out of this base list.
