About these numbers: Prices are fixed game data documented on UESP. Bethesda never set a septim to dollar rate, so this page compares septim prices against each other and offers no USD conversion rather than inventing one.

About this converter

Skyrim runs on fixed prices, which makes it perfect for comparison. A night at any inn costs 10 septims, a horse costs 1,000, Breezehome costs 5,000 and Proudspire Manor costs 25,000. That means one manor equals 2,500 inn nights or 25 horses, no exchange rate needed. Every figure on this page is the base game value from UESP: house prices, furniture upgrades, carriage fares and item values. Barter perks and merchant disposition shift what you actually pay, but the base values never move, so they are the honest anchor.

How to use it

Pick two prices and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked: one holds a count of the first price, one the matching count of the second, one the total in septims. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 Proudspire Manor against inn nights.

Honeyside has a famous quirk: its official price is 8,000 but the steward accepts anything above 5,000 and pockets the rest, so both numbers appear in the note. Carriage fares depend on distance, listed as near and far rows.

FAQ

How much is Breezehome?

5,000 septims plus 1,550 to 1,800 for all furniture upgrades, per UESP. The cheapest house in the game.

How much is Proudspire Manor?

25,000 septims plus 11,000 to 14,000 in upgrades. The most expensive house in the game.

How much is a horse in Skyrim?

1,000 septims at any stable. That is 100 inn nights.

What is a septim worth in dollars?

Bethesda never set a rate, so any dollar figure is guessing. This page compares septim prices to each other instead.
