About this converter

Shogi majors run 7 to 99 titles in this table. Kubo at 7 opens the short end with seven crowns counted. Fujii Takeshi at 12, Sato at 13, Kato Hifumi at 14, Maruyama at 15, Moriuchi at 18, Nakahara at 22, Tanigawa at 27, Fujii Sota active at 29 and Watanabe at 31 climb the middle. Oyama at 80 and Habu at 99 close the top. Every figure is career major titles (Meijin, Ryuo, Kisei, Oi, Oza, Kio, Osho, Kio) from Japan Shogi Association profiles. Active counts move yearly, so the table pins late 2025 totals.

How to use it

Pick two players and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 Habu Yoshiharu against 1 Kubo Toshiaki to see the 99 to 7 gap. All rows use Titles, so the unit stays fixed. Click any table row to load it as Entry A with amount 1.

Values pin JSA major totals. Habu seven crowns twice pushed him to 99 to pass Oyama 80. Kubo entry corrects early draft 14 to 7 majors, pinned with note. Fujii Sota active eight crowns sits at 29 late 2025 and gains yearly. Lifetime titles stay inside totals per JSA rules. Amateur titles stay out because pro majors are the topic.
