About these numbers: Heights and lengths are documented guide figures from the 2006 Enterbrain Official Artbook and Guide, not in game meters. Ueda states Phalanx around 200 m long in interview pages 140-141. Flying and swimming rows list length for honesty.

About this converter

Shadow of the Colossus never prints meters in game, but the 2006 Enterbrain Official Artbook and Guide documents feet for all sixteen. Celosia and Cenobia open at 4, Kuromori at 5, Valus at 21, Basaran and Argus at 23, Barba at 24, Pelagia at 27, Gaius, Quadratus and Phaedra at 30, Avion at 43 long, Malus at 59, Dirge at 79 long, Hydrus at 85 long and Phalanx at 170 long. Ueda says Phalanx is around 200 long in interview pages 140 to 141, which the note calls out against the 170 guide math. Every row here names height or length so wingspans never mix with standing heights.

How to use it

Pick two colossi and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any number and the other two update to the matching size. The bars below scale to Phalanx so you can see the gap at a glance, shown in the unit you picked. Ratios are exact divisions of the guide numbers.

Two honest caveats. First, feet convert to meters at 0.3048, so metric rows are rounded guide math, not canon metric. Second, in game memory measures differ, for example Valus 16 in game against 21 guide, so this table pins guide figures and says so. Length rows for Avion, Dirge, Hydrus and Phalanx never compare as heights.
