About this converter

RimWorld tracks food as nutrition. A colonist stores up to 1.0 and looks for food near 0.25 remaining. This table lists nutrition per single item as shown in the info panel and the wiki meal table. Pemmican and kibble give 0.05 per piece. Chocolate gives 0.1. Baby food gives 0.5. Simple, fine, packaged survival and nutrient paste meals give 0.9. Lavish meals give 1.0. Batch totals differ from single item values. A batch of 16 pemmican totals 0.8 from 0.5 input, while a batch of 50 kibble totals 2.5 from 2.0 input.

How to use it

Pick two meals and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first meal, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds total nutrition. Try lavish meal against pemmican to see the 1.0 to 0.05 gap. Click a table row to load that entry as Entry A with amount 1.

Efficiency differs from per item nutrition. Nutrient paste turns 0.3 input into 0.9, which is 300 percent, with a mood cost. Simple and fine meals turn 0.5 into 0.9, which is 180 percent. Lavish meals turn 1.0 into 1.0. Mood, taste, spoil time and work cost sit outside these rows. Raw foods such as berries, corn and plain meat are left out because this page covers cooked meals only. Values pin base game stats from the meal comparison table.
