About these numbers: Buy prices are fixed Capcom 2005 GameCube and PS2 data. Sell back is half of buy for weapons. The Merchant never sells herbs in the original, so herbs stay out. No peseta to dollar rate exists.

About this converter

The Resident Evil 4 Merchant charges fixed pesetas from the village to the island. Stocks cost 4000, bolt scope 7000, Mine Thrower 9800, bolt rifle 12000, Red9 14000, TMP 15000, Punisher 20000, Blacktail 2400s, Rocket Launcher 30000, Riot Gun 32000, semi-auto rifle 35000, Broken Butterfly 38000, Striker 43000 and Killer7 77700. That makes one Killer7 equal over five TMPs or almost two Broken Butterflys. Punisher is free with ten Blue Medallions, Broken Butterfly is free in chapter 4-1, which the notes call out. Every figure here is the buy price from the Merchant Price List.

How to use it

Pick two entries and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first entry, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds the total in pesetas. Try 1 Killer7 against TMPs.

PAL and later ports list TMP at 10000, US and GameCube at 15000, so rows pin 15000 and note the gap. Tune-up costs scale per level and stay out because they are not fixed buy prices. Treasures sell to the Merchant but have no buy price, so they stay out too.
