About this converter
Classic Monopoly base rents run from 2 to 50 dollars before houses. Mediterranean Avenue opens at 2 and Baltic at 4. Light blues run 6, 6 and 8. Pinks run 10, 10 and 12. Oranges run 14, 14 and 16. Reds run 18, 18 and 20. Yellows run 22, 22 and 24. Greens run 26, 26 and 28. Dark blues close at Park Place 35 and Boardwalk 50. Owning a full color set doubles unimproved rent. Railroads pay 25, 50, 100 or 200 by count owned. Utilities charge by dice roll, so they stay out of the fixed rows and are noted instead.
How to use it
Pick two rents and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first rent, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds the total in Monopoly dollars. Try 1 Boardwalk against Mediterranean rents to see the 25 to 1 gap.
Rents are the Title Deed base figures from Hasbro. House and hotel rents are far higher and stay out of this base table so rows stay comparable. Income Tax costs 200 and Luxury Tax costs 100, listed here as fixed payments. Utility rent is 4 times the dice with one owned and 10 times with both, which cannot reduce to a fixed dollar row.
