About this converter

Mappy is a 1983 Namco arcade game. You play a police mouse. You grab loot while cats chase you. Points come from loot, doors, microwaves, bells and balloons. This page compares 14 scoring actions in points. Use this list to see how a safe compares to a microwave wave. Values follow the Bally Midway Mappy manual from April 1983.

How to use it

Pick two entries and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Pick safe and radio to start. Safe shows 500 pts. Radio shows 100 pts. Points are the base unit here. Only pts are shown in the top row. Add pairs in order for bonus multipliers.

Loot pairs pay more. Grab two of the same item in a row for a bonus. The rate rises from 2x to 6x by the fifth pair. Max loot per house is 8500 points. Microwave waves pay by cat count. One cat pays 200. Six cats pay 2000. Goro counts as a cat and doubles the total. Bells pay 300 for a Meowky and 1000 for Goro. Red balloons pay 200. No official figure was found for some later ports, so they are left out.
