About these numbers: Heights are Bungie and 343 Industries figures via Halo Waypoint, the Halo Encyclopedia and the novels. Covenant species vary by individual and posture, so averages are labeled as about figures. Gameplay hitboxes do not match lore heights.

About this converter

Halo splits height into two ladders: augmented humans and everything else. Master Chief stands 208 cm bare and 218 cm in Mjolnir, with Jorge-052 above him at about 223 and Noble Six just under at about 206. Sergeant Johnson at about 188 shows the unaugmented ceiling. Covenant species reset the scale: Grunts at about 140, Jackals at about 195, Elites at about 230, the Arbiter at about 236, Brutes at about 270, Tartarus at about 274 and bonded Hunters at about 360. Every figure here is a Waypoint, encyclopedia or novel value. Elites hunch, Hunters are worm colonies in armor, and gameplay hitboxes shrink them all, so lore figures anchor the table.

How to use it

Pick two combatants and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked: one holds a count of the first, one the matching count of the second, one the height in the chosen unit. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 Hunter against Grunts.

Armor heights count as listed, which is why the Chief appears twice. Covenant averages cover adults at rest. The Prophets stay out because their thrones hide their true standing height.
