About this converter
EVE Online mining lasers list a mining amount and a cycle time, and yield per minute follows from those two cells. Single Diode Basic gives 7 m3 per 15 seconds for 28 per minute. Civilian Miner gives 6 m3 per 10 seconds for 36 per minute. Miner I, Deep Core Mining Laser I and Modulated Deep Core Miner II each give 40 per minute from 10 per 15 and 30 per 45. Gallente Mining Laser gives 48. EP-S Gaussian and Particle Bore Compact give 52. Miner II and Wild Miner I give 60. ORE Deep Core gives 80. ORE Miner tops at 84 from 21 per 15. Strip miners and crystals sit outside this laser table.
How to use it
Pick two entries and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first laser, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds total m3 per minute. Try ORE Miner against Miner I to see the 84 to 40 gap, then Miner II against Civilian Miner.
Yield math is amount times 60 divided by seconds, using EVE Ref dogma values for mining amount and activation time. Skills, ship bonuses, implants and fleet boosts raise fitted yields above these base cells and stay out of rows. EVE University notes ore miners mine 40 to 180 m3 per minute by default, and a Venture with two Miner I reaches about 250 with bonuses. Residue on Tech 2 and faction modules wastes rock but does not change per cycle take. Omitted: strip miners, ice harvesters and gas harvesters, which use separate groups.
FAQ
How is m3 per minute figured?
Mining amount times 60 divided by cycle seconds. Miner I is 10 times 60 divided by 15 for 40.
What is the lowest and highest here?
Single Diode Basic at 28 is lowest. ORE Miner at 84 is highest.
Why do three modules tie at 40?
Miner I is 10 per 15, Deep Core I is 10 per 15, Modulated Deep Core II is 30 per 45. Same rate, different cycle and ore access.
Do skills change these numbers?
Yes. Mining and Astrogeology add 5 percent per level and ships add bonuses. Rows are base module cells before those boosts.
