About this converter
Contra (Konami, 1987) pays points for almost everything you destroy. Regular soldiers pay 100. Red soldiers and snipers pay 500 outdoors. Turrets pay 300 or 500 depending on the type. Bigger targets pay far more: fortress guns pay 1,000 each, the Stage 1 sensor pays 10,000, tanks pay 5,000, and mid game bosses pay 15,000. The final alien heart pays 500,000, which tops every other row here by a wide margin. Values come from the arcade scoring table, cross checked between a player tested scoring list and Arcade-History.
How to use it
Pick two entries and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 alien heart against regular soldiers to see how many kills match one final boss hit. Use points for exact math or thousands of points for shorter numbers.
A few enemies pay different amounts by stage. Red soldiers pay 500 in outdoor stages but 100 inside the base interiors, so this page uses the outdoor value and names the stage in each row. Boss parts only pay if destroyed, so a fast kill can score less than a thorough one. The Konami operator manual covers wiring and cabinet settings rather than scoring, so per enemy values rest on tested in game scoring tables. No official Konami per enemy points chart is published.
