About this converter
Castlevania sub-weapons cost 1 to 100 hearts across the NES original and Symphony of the Night. The 1986 original charges 1 heart for Dagger, Axe, Holy Water and Cross alike, and 5 for the Stopwatch. Pickups feed the pool at 1 per Small Heart and 5 per Large Heart. Symphony scales up: Rebound Stone costs 2, Holy Water 3, Axe 4, Stopwatch 20 and Cross 100 for Alucard. That makes one SotN Cross equal one hundred CV1 Daggers. Every figure here is the printed consume cost.
How to use it
Pick two entries and a unit in the top row. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. Try 1 SotN Cross against CV1 Daggers to see the hundred to one gap.
Richter mode re-prices most SotN weapons to 1 heart, so rows pin Alucard with Richter noted. Item Crash finishers cost 10 to 20 on top and stay out. The NES Cross pickup wipes the screen for free, which differs from the SotN 100 heart version, noted per row. Bibuti, Aguen and Holy Book sit at 3 to 5 and stay noted but unrowed. Hearts drop from candles and enemies alike, so farming fills the pool fast.
