About this converter
BattleTech stock armor totals run 48 to 304 points. Stinger and Wasp open at 48, Locust at 64, Phoenix Hawk at 128, Shadow Hawk and Wolverine and Griffin at 152, Warhammer at 160, Marauder at 184, Thunderbolt at 208, BattleMaster at 232 and Atlas at 304. That makes Atlas equal over six Stingers. One ton of standard armor covers 16 points, so Atlas carries 19 tons of plate.
How to use it
Pick two mechs and a unit in the top row, for example Atlas and Locust. The three boxes below stay linked. Change any box and the other two update. One box holds a count of the first armor total, one holds the matching count of the second, one holds total points. Try 1 Atlas against Stingers.
Ferro-fibrous packs more points per ton off page while rows pin stock standard totals. Internal structure sits out since rows pin armor only. Custom refits change these rows off page. Rear armor runs thin while front loads heavy off page. Through armor criticals threaten internals off page. Variants like the Atlas AS7-K shift totals off page, so rows pin stock letters only.
